World coming to an end?

Filed under: interesting stuff, religion, weird — nesh October 2, 2007 @ 4:38 pm

According to the Al-Quran,it is!! Nasa accidentally captured a picture of some thing or some phenomenon in outer space which resembles a red rose. Here’s the picture:

redrose_b.jpg

It is said that the Al-Quran states that when a red rose is found in outer space,it is a sign that the world is coming to an end.I dont know how true this statement is but it sure makes me wana save the world!!

When you actually come to think of it,a red rose in outer space isnt the real reason the worlds comin to an end is it?? Heres two pictures that tells us the whole story:

And thats only two pictures. There are so many other reasons the world is at danger. Its out choice to make the world a better place to live!!

Please comment if you know more on this topic.

Good day!!

Celebrities who died early!!

I dont know how many of you realize this but many really famous people meet death at a very young age ranging from their 20’s to 40’s.I dont exactly know why but a constant theory that relates to this phenomenon is the stressful life of the rich and famous. They have absolutely no privacy what so ever.If a little child’s nightmare is the boogeyman,a rich and famous guy’s nightmare are the paparazzi’s.They will not stop at anything to just get a shot at celebrities and this usually obstructs the celebrities from a normal life. They cannot think of going to the mall or garden or even the cinemas without being mocked by the media. This draws an incredible amount of attention to celebrities and people know each and every thing they do.When they mess up on something,The whole world is againts them and this is something that no human being can stand.

digital-paparazzi.jpg boogeymoves.gif
Paparazzi’s and the media are the celebrity version of the boogeyman.

Besides that, alot of these celebrities die because of a bad life style with habits like drugs, alcohol and late nights. If a celebrity does not die of drugs or suicide, they are usually murdered mysteriously or brutally.

Here are a few celebrities who passed away at a considerably young age:

Elvis Presley:

389px-elvis_presley_1970.jpg

Elvis’s cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia. While true in the strictest sense (cardiac arrhythmia basically means that the heart was beating irregularly and in this case, finally stopped), the attending physicians deliberately omitted the fact that what had apparently caused Elvis’ heart to beat irregularly and then stop was an overdose of prescription drugs. These drugs included codeine, Valium, morphine, and Demorol, to name a few.He was 42.

John Lennon:

john_lennon_biography.jpg

John lennon was shot to death when he was only 40.

Jimmy Hendrix:

hndrxp.jpg
Jimmy hendrix actually predicted his own death five years earlier.Five years later,he drank wine, took nine Vesperax sleeping pills and then choked on his own vomit and died.He was only 28.

Bob Marley:

bobmarleylegend.jpg

Bob Marley died from a malignant melanoma, a form of cancer, that was on his right toe. He could’ve avoided death with amputation, but it was against his Rastafari beliefs. The cancer spread. He was only 36.

Tupac Shakur:

racingmix_2pac.jpg

Like John lennon,he was a victim of homicide at only 25.

These are only a few of many other celebrities who died tragically at very young ages.I guess god gives one and takes one away!!

Whats important is for us to live our life to the fullest and be the best person we can be while were still alive!

CHEERS!

A man who claimed he was Jesus!

On 11 June1988, a man suddenly appeared before a vast crowd in

Nairobi, Kenya, gathered to witness the miracle healings of Kenyan spiritual healer, Mary Akatsa. Instantly recognizing the tall, white-robed figure as “Jesus Christ”, the crowds fell down overcome with emotion.

The scene was at the

Church of

Bethlehem, where Mary Sinaida Akatsa conducts miracle prayers, praying for the sick, the blind, cripples, mad people, the barren and others facing all sorts of personal problems.
On 4 June 1988 a big, bright star was sighted above the skies by worshippers. It was unusually brighter than ordinary stars. The time was 1 pm. But on 11 June it was different. Worshippers were busy singing Mungu ni Mwema, a popular Swahili hymn, when Mary Akatsa interjected. She announced that God had spoken to her and told her to “await a miracle because a very important guest would be coming to give her a very vital message.” People ‘braced themselves for the unknown’ while others stared blankly at her, their mouths agape with awe and bewilderment. Five minutes later, she asked those who were singing and dancing to stop as the long-awaited message had arrived. “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus of Nazareth!” went the loud whispers from the crowd as they raised up their hands in submission and divine welcome. The tall figure of a barefooted white-robed and bearded man appeared from nowhere and stood in the middle of the crowd. He was walking slowly towards the new church building away from the tent. Mary walked with him, side by side. She tried to explain that 20 cripples had managed to walk again a few minutes ago because of the day’s blessings. But nobody, except perhaps a few, heard this. They were busy talking to “The Lord”.Here are some pictures:nairobi1.JPG nairobi4.jpgnairobi2_small.gifnairobi3_small.gif

10 ways to hypnotize urself!

I was browsing the net today and i found this really cool thing so i decided to post it on my blog.Try doing it.

This method to hypnotize yourself is based on the following premises and ideologies. While there are a number of counter-examples to these notions, they will be of value in understanding and utilizing this method to hypnotize yourself.

We think our thoughts in pictures, sounds and feelings.

When we think in pictures we refer to the external things we see and the internal images that we create. This includes remembered images (”What does your bedroom look like?”), constructed images (”What would it look like if it were redecorated?”), as well as the actual, real things we see about us.

When we think in sounds these are the things we hear and the internal sounds that we create. This includes remembered words or sounds (”Think of your favourite pop song”), imagined words or sounds (”Imagine that song being sung by someone else”), and also includes your internal dialogue as well as all of the real, actual, live sounds around us.

Thirdly, are the things we feel. These can be actual physical sensations or imagined ones. Can you imagine being at the seaside and paddling in the cool sea?

Most of us use one of these ways of thinking more than the others; though we each use all three of them. Since this is usually the case, an individual who “thinks” in images wouldn’t hypnotize themselves the best simply by visualising.

Focused Attention:

Stereotypical images of hypnotists holding watches or other fixation devices for clients to stare at are the result of much misunderstanding about hypnosis. I for one have long ago banished my velveteen smoking jacket and watch on a chain for more modern methods of hypnotic induction! The experience of hypnosis is typically an inwardly focused one in which we move away from the environment around us and turn our attention inward. This technique to hypnotize yourself is doing that even more.

Hypnotize Yourself Technique:

Step 1: Find a comfortable position and get your self relaxed and settled. Get into a position that you will be able to maintain easily for the time you are going to hypnotize yourself. It can be sitting or lying down, though sitting is recommended to prevent you from falling asleep. Get yourself centred, just looking in front of you and breathing slowly and easily. Let yourself relax.

Step 2: Think about the length of time that you intend to spend in this state and make a statement to yourself about it such as “I am going hypnotize myself for 20 minutes … ” (or however long you want) You will be delighted to discover how well you “internal clock” can keep track of the time for you.

Step 3: What would you like to get out of this? Make a statement to yourself about the reason you want to hypnotize yourself. In this process, you allow your unconscious mind to work on an issue rather than giving suggestions throughout, (that is another technique) so our purpose statement should reflect that fact. Here’s how I recommend you phrase it to yourself : ” I am going to hypnotize myself for the purpose of allowing my unconscious mind to make the adjustments that are appropriate to assist me in _____________.”

Filling in the blank with what you want to achieve such as “developing more confidence in social situations.” The actual words aren’t nearly as important as the fact your statement acknowledges that you are turning this process over to your unconscious mind.

Step 4: Looking in front of you, notice three things, one at a time, that you see. Go slowly, pausing for a moment on each. It is preferable that they be small things, such as a spot on the wall, a doorknob, the corner of a picture frame, etc. Some people like to name the items as they look at them - “I see the hinge on the door frame”.

Step 5: Now turn your attention to your auditory channel and notice, one by one, three things that you hear. (You will notice that this allows you to incorporate sounds that occur in the environment rather than being distracted by them.)

Step 6: Next, attend to your feelings and notice three sensations that you can feel right now. Again, go slowly from one to the next. It is useful to use sensations that usually are outside of your awareness, such as the weight of your glasses, the feeling of your wrist watch, the texture of your shirt on your body, etc.

Step 7: Continue the process using two Visuals, then two auditories and then two kinaesthetics. Then, in the same manner, continue (slowly) with one of each.

You have now completed the “external” portion of the process to hypnotize yourself. Now it’s time to begin the “internal” part.

Step 8: Now close your eyes. Now, bring an image into your mind. Don’t work too hard at this; this is fun, remember? You can construct an image or simply take what comes. It may be a point of light, it may be a beautiful beach, or it could be your car or an apple. I shall not scare you with the ideas that randomly pop into my mind. If something comes to you, just use it. If nothing comes, feel free to put something in your mind.

Step 9: Pause and let a sound come into your awareness or generate one and name it. Although this is technically the internal part, if you should hear a sound outside or in the room with you, it is OK to use that. Remember that the idea is to incorporate things that you experience rather than being distracted by them. Typically, in the absence of environmental sounds; I often imagine hearing whooping hallelujahs from a gospel choir; don’t ask me why, that just happens in my mind.

Step 10: Become aware of a feeling and name it. It is preferable to do this internally - use your imagination. (I feel the warmth of the sun on my face) However, as with the auditory, if you actually have a physical sensation that gets your attention, use that.

Repeat the process with two images, then two sounds, then two feelings. Repeat the cycle once again using three images, three sounds, and three feelings.

Then to complete the process, open your eyes when your alloted time is up - It is not unusual to feel a little bit “spaced out” or wander off somewhat. At first some people think that they have fallen asleep. But generally you will find yourself coming back automatically at the end of the allotted time that you set before you chose to hypnotize yourself. Trust that you weren’t sleeping and that your unconscious mind was doing what you asked of it.

Many people don’t get all the way through the process. That’s perfectly all right. If you should complete the process before the time has ended, just continue with 4 images, sounds, feelings, then 5 and so on. It is a simple way of just getting you acquainted with how to hypnotize yourself.

Premonitions

Premonitions are one of the most amazing things around. Here are some famous premonitions by some famous people.

Hitler : Hitler had a dream during the first world war that caused him to jump out of his trench into no mans land moments before a shell stuck and blew up his trench killing everyone.

Sitting Bull : In the run up to the battle of the Little BigHorn in 1876 Sitting Bull danced himself into the real world. He dreamt that soldiers were falling upside down from the sky into the indian camp. As they fell he heard a voice cry “I give you these because they have no ears”. Sitting bull took it as a sign that the battle would be won and prepared for war. The soldiers were given up to him because they would not listen to the great spirit.

Abraham Lincoln : Lincoln dreamt days before his assasination of great cries coming from the East Wing of the Whitehouse. When he investigated he was told by soldiers on guard that they weeping for the president who had been assassinated. Days later his body was held in state in the East wing so people could pay respect.

Nils Bohr :a danish scientist who dreamt about “atomic structure” and then came up with the theories we use today in chemistry about the atoms and their structure, and the way they bond to each other, and the sub atomic particles.

Isadora Duncan Dreamt that Ellen Terry was walking towards her. She was holding the hands of a child. Ellen then repeated the words LOVE LOVE LOVE. Shortly after Isadora found out that she was pregnant.

Want to know when u’ll die??

One of the worse scenario a human can face in ones lifetime is if he or she knows their death day.If at all some one finds out their last day,it marks the inception of a horrible life until they rest in peace. If human beings knew their exact death date, their lifetime turns to be a living hell.

Humans always show inclination to know when are they going to die. Yet they fail to find an answer because there is no way that anyone could predict anyones death.Only god knows when, and when he feels the time is right , death comes whether  we like it or not.

gravestone.jpg

I personally think it is inconsequential to meddle with death during our lifetime. Work hard, think good , hear good , see good and live a good life. Just forget about death and let god decide when death comes. Its orthodox for humans to check on their lifespan based on palm astrology and other believes. It is not for me to decide whether this is right or wrong but in my opinion, this should be avoided in order to live a full-filling life because if ones death day is known , its not easy to live a usual life.

Despite the long post i’ve writen above, i found this fun site which predicts our death. It is definitely not true but you can visit it for fun if you want to.But do not take it seriously .Heres the site:
