10 ways to hypnotize urself!

I was browsing the net today and i found this really cool thing so i decided to post it on my blog.Try doing it.

This method to hypnotize yourself is based on the following premises and ideologies. While there are a number of counter-examples to these notions, they will be of value in understanding and utilizing this method to hypnotize yourself.

We think our thoughts in pictures, sounds and feelings.

When we think in pictures we refer to the external things we see and the internal images that we create. This includes remembered images (”What does your bedroom look like?”), constructed images (”What would it look like if it were redecorated?”), as well as the actual, real things we see about us.

When we think in sounds these are the things we hear and the internal sounds that we create. This includes remembered words or sounds (”Think of your favourite pop song”), imagined words or sounds (”Imagine that song being sung by someone else”), and also includes your internal dialogue as well as all of the real, actual, live sounds around us.

Thirdly, are the things we feel. These can be actual physical sensations or imagined ones. Can you imagine being at the seaside and paddling in the cool sea?

Most of us use one of these ways of thinking more than the others; though we each use all three of them. Since this is usually the case, an individual who “thinks” in images wouldn’t hypnotize themselves the best simply by visualising.

Focused Attention:

Stereotypical images of hypnotists holding watches or other fixation devices for clients to stare at are the result of much misunderstanding about hypnosis. I for one have long ago banished my velveteen smoking jacket and watch on a chain for more modern methods of hypnotic induction! The experience of hypnosis is typically an inwardly focused one in which we move away from the environment around us and turn our attention inward. This technique to hypnotize yourself is doing that even more.

Hypnotize Yourself Technique:

Step 1: Find a comfortable position and get your self relaxed and settled. Get into a position that you will be able to maintain easily for the time you are going to hypnotize yourself. It can be sitting or lying down, though sitting is recommended to prevent you from falling asleep. Get yourself centred, just looking in front of you and breathing slowly and easily. Let yourself relax.

Step 2: Think about the length of time that you intend to spend in this state and make a statement to yourself about it such as “I am going hypnotize myself for 20 minutes … ” (or however long you want) You will be delighted to discover how well you “internal clock” can keep track of the time for you.

Step 3: What would you like to get out of this? Make a statement to yourself about the reason you want to hypnotize yourself. In this process, you allow your unconscious mind to work on an issue rather than giving suggestions throughout, (that is another technique) so our purpose statement should reflect that fact. Here’s how I recommend you phrase it to yourself : ” I am going to hypnotize myself for the purpose of allowing my unconscious mind to make the adjustments that are appropriate to assist me in _____________.”

Filling in the blank with what you want to achieve such as “developing more confidence in social situations.” The actual words aren’t nearly as important as the fact your statement acknowledges that you are turning this process over to your unconscious mind.

Step 4: Looking in front of you, notice three things, one at a time, that you see. Go slowly, pausing for a moment on each. It is preferable that they be small things, such as a spot on the wall, a doorknob, the corner of a picture frame, etc. Some people like to name the items as they look at them - “I see the hinge on the door frame”.

Step 5: Now turn your attention to your auditory channel and notice, one by one, three things that you hear. (You will notice that this allows you to incorporate sounds that occur in the environment rather than being distracted by them.)

Step 6: Next, attend to your feelings and notice three sensations that you can feel right now. Again, go slowly from one to the next. It is useful to use sensations that usually are outside of your awareness, such as the weight of your glasses, the feeling of your wrist watch, the texture of your shirt on your body, etc.

Step 7: Continue the process using two Visuals, then two auditories and then two kinaesthetics. Then, in the same manner, continue (slowly) with one of each.

You have now completed the “external” portion of the process to hypnotize yourself. Now it’s time to begin the “internal” part.

Step 8: Now close your eyes. Now, bring an image into your mind. Don’t work too hard at this; this is fun, remember? You can construct an image or simply take what comes. It may be a point of light, it may be a beautiful beach, or it could be your car or an apple. I shall not scare you with the ideas that randomly pop into my mind. If something comes to you, just use it. If nothing comes, feel free to put something in your mind.

Step 9: Pause and let a sound come into your awareness or generate one and name it. Although this is technically the internal part, if you should hear a sound outside or in the room with you, it is OK to use that. Remember that the idea is to incorporate things that you experience rather than being distracted by them. Typically, in the absence of environmental sounds; I often imagine hearing whooping hallelujahs from a gospel choir; don’t ask me why, that just happens in my mind.

Step 10: Become aware of a feeling and name it. It is preferable to do this internally - use your imagination. (I feel the warmth of the sun on my face) However, as with the auditory, if you actually have a physical sensation that gets your attention, use that.

Repeat the process with two images, then two sounds, then two feelings. Repeat the cycle once again using three images, three sounds, and three feelings.

Then to complete the process, open your eyes when your alloted time is up - It is not unusual to feel a little bit “spaced out” or wander off somewhat. At first some people think that they have fallen asleep. But generally you will find yourself coming back automatically at the end of the allotted time that you set before you chose to hypnotize yourself. Trust that you weren’t sleeping and that your unconscious mind was doing what you asked of it.

Many people don’t get all the way through the process. That’s perfectly all right. If you should complete the process before the time has ended, just continue with 4 images, sounds, feelings, then 5 and so on. It is a simple way of just getting you acquainted with how to hypnotize yourself.

10 resons why i dont want to be a female!

Womens are extremely respected beings on earth. I personally respect women because they undergo many challenges in life that men don’t.Yet you dont see them wining about it where ever they go.They tend to accept who they are and what they have to face being a women.Heck, they bring us into this world after months of battle but they feel joy when they give birth even under tremendous pain and suffering.

Here are ten reasons why i am glad to be a guy and not go through the suffering they go through:

1) I dont need to go through PMS

2) I dont have to face the dramatic mood swings during mensuration

3) I dont need to undergo mensuration

4) I dont need to be pregnant and carry a child for 9 months

5) I dont need to give birth

6) I dont get raped

7) I dont need to use bra

8) I dont need to spend money on mensuration pads

9) I dont have to face people staring at my breasts

10) I dont need to squeeze my legs while sitting on a chair or down.

You think men are tough? well im a guy myself but i feel they face much more challenges than we do. So give them the respect they deserve!

Premonitions

Premonitions are one of the most amazing things around. Here are some famous premonitions by some famous people.

Hitler : Hitler had a dream during the first world war that caused him to jump out of his trench into no mans land moments before a shell stuck and blew up his trench killing everyone.

Sitting Bull : In the run up to the battle of the Little BigHorn in 1876 Sitting Bull danced himself into the real world. He dreamt that soldiers were falling upside down from the sky into the indian camp. As they fell he heard a voice cry “I give you these because they have no ears”. Sitting bull took it as a sign that the battle would be won and prepared for war. The soldiers were given up to him because they would not listen to the great spirit.

Abraham Lincoln : Lincoln dreamt days before his assasination of great cries coming from the East Wing of the Whitehouse. When he investigated he was told by soldiers on guard that they weeping for the president who had been assassinated. Days later his body was held in state in the East wing so people could pay respect.

Nils Bohr :a danish scientist who dreamt about “atomic structure” and then came up with the theories we use today in chemistry about the atoms and their structure, and the way they bond to each other, and the sub atomic particles.

Isadora Duncan Dreamt that Ellen Terry was walking towards her. She was holding the hands of a child. Ellen then repeated the words LOVE LOVE LOVE. Shortly after Isadora found out that she was pregnant.

Carl Jung
Had a lucid dream vision that all of europe was engulfed in a great flood. The water came right up to the mountains of Switzerland. Thosands of people drowned. The water then turned to blood. Just months later the Great War began in August.

simple magic tricks to amaze ur friends!

There maybe a party among your friends or a family gathering around the corner.Magic tricks never fail to entertain people and uplift the atmosphere. So here are a few simple tricks that u could pick up in an instant.

Ice Ice Baby !!!
Effect
Pour some water into a cup, blow on the cup and then turn it upside down where out pops some ice cubes.
You need a cup or glass that you can’t see through. You also need a small sponge and and some ice cubes.
Method
Prepare the cup by placing the sponge into the bottom of the cup. Then, drop a few ice cubes on top of the sponge and you’re ready to go.
To perform pour a small amount of water (about an inch) into the cup. The sponge will absorb the water. Blow into the cup, wave your hands over it and dump out the ice cubes.
If you are using a disposible plastic cup for the trick, just throw it away at this time.
Watch the look of surprise on your friends faces.

Quick Coin Vanish
Effect:
A coin is placed onto the table. It is picked up and it magically vanishes.
Method:
First, let me tell you this is about as easy as a magic trick as it gets. Set the coin onto the table with your left hand. Say something like “Check this out” and reach over with your right hand. Then press down on the coin with your index, middle, and 3rd fingers with your hand and arm parrallel with the table. Slide the coin towards you keeping in mind it should be completely covered up. Slide the coin off the table so it falls into your lap. Touch your thumb to your middle finger as if you are picking up the coin as it reaches the edge of the table. Keeping all your fingers closed still. Stare at where the coin should be as you slowly move your hand away from you back to about 6 inches above where the coin originally was. Start moving your thumb in a circular motion as if the coin is dissapearing. Slowly turn your hand around and spread your fingers apart. Now the rest is up to you. The more surprised you act and if you act like you were all fortunate to see a miracle, people will believe the trick even more and remember it ( and you ) forever , ——— maybe.

Light A Used Match

Effect :
You take out a box of matches and go to light your cigarette or candle but when you open them they are all used.
You then say I hate that when people put used matches back in the box, oh sorry it was me I hate it when I do that. You then proceed to take out the used match and strike it and it lights. You can have them already stashed in the dirty ashtray and take one out and then light your cigarette or candle.
Secret:
All you have to do to make it look like it is a used match is dip the match in black ink, and then wait for it to dry. Then dip it in ash and it will look like a used match but when you strike it the match will light like any normal match

Floating Ring Trick
Make some really thick salt water. REALLY thick. soak a piece of thread in it somewhere between 45 and 60 minutes. take it out and let it dry. Now you are ready. Ask someone for a ring. Tie it to the end of the thread. Hold the string so its like a pendulum. Now take a match and light the string down by the ring. The string will burn but the salt crystals can hold up a fairly light ring. An awesome effect.

Static Snake Charmer
Effect: You remove a plastic straw from its wrapper. Using the straw as a “magic wand” you command the wrapper to dance around the table.
You will need: a plastic drinking straw still in its wrapper.

Method: You tear off the tip of the wrapper and throw it away. Gripping the straw at the tip with the fingers of one hand, and firmly squeezing the wrapper with the fingers of the other hand, quickly pull the straw from the wrapper and drop the wrapper on the table.
Now, using the straw as a “magic wand”, without touching the wrapper, slowly wave the straw over the end of the wrapper. The straw wrapper should sway around by itself as if in a hypnotic trance .
If the effect starts to wear off after a minute or two , you can re energise the wrapper by stroking it briskly along the straw.
This effect is due to static electricity. It is a real fun effect and works MOST of the time but can sometimes vary in effectiveness depending on weather conditions.

Open Sesame
Deal out 3 piles of seven cards face down. Ask a spectator to choose a pile. You then pick up the pile that the spectator selected and display the cards in a fan facing the audience. (It is not necessary for you to see the front of the cards.) Then ask the spectator to look at the cards and choose one, instructing them not to tell you which card they choose.
1) Put the cards that the spectator chose face down in between the other two piles to make one pile of 21 cards.
2) Deal out the cards one at a time into 3 piles of seven moving left to right .
3) Pick up each pile individually and then display the cards to the volunteer asking them to indicate which of the piles contains the chosen card. (They must not name their selected card).
Repeat steps 1 to 3 one more time.
After the steps are completed say the magic words “OPEN SESAME“. You then pick up the pile of 21 cards and spell O-P-E-N-S-E-S-A-M-E by placing one card face down on the table per each letter spelled. Turn up the next card after spelling OPEN SESAME to reveal their selected card.

Six Shooter
Place the four sixes on top of your deck of cards before you do this trick. You also need a pen or pencil and a piece of paper.
Remove the four top cards from the top of your deck of cards (These are the four sixes you put there already) and lay these cards face down in a pile in front of the audience. Then remove six cards from the deck and place these cards in a separate pile.
Tell the spectator that you read minds and tell them which pile they will choose. Write “You picked the six pile” on your piece of paper and fold it and put it right alongside the cards. Tell the spectator to choose one of the piles and then read the paper. No matter which pile is chosen the note is true. One pile contains the four sixes and the other pile contains six cards. After the trick is finished put both piles on top of the deck. Do not let them see both piles of cards.

Mind Reading The Coin
This works best in medium/large groups, try when out with friends in a bar. For this you need a friend in on the trick. Line up 9 coins in a square 3×3 on the table.
Look away and invite someone to pick a coin by touching it. Next pick there coin by having a friend place there drink on a beer mat or coaster in the corresponding position top left top middle bottom right, middle middle etc.
For added effect stare into the persons eyes your mind reading..Get a couple of friends in on the trick to avoid suspicion.

Good luck and have fun tryin out these tricks!

Want to know when u’ll die??

One of the worse scenario a human can face in ones lifetime is if he or she knows their death day.If at all some one finds out their last day,it marks the inception of a horrible life until they rest in peace. If human beings knew their exact death date, their lifetime turns to be a living hell.

Humans always show inclination to know when are they going to die. Yet they fail to find an answer because there is no way that anyone could predict anyones death.Only god knows when, and when he feels the time is right , death comes whether  we like it or not.

gravestone.jpg

I personally think it is inconsequential to meddle with death during our lifetime. Work hard, think good , hear good , see good and live a good life. Just forget about death and let god decide when death comes. Its orthodox for humans to check on their lifespan based on palm astrology and other believes. It is not for me to decide whether this is right or wrong but in my opinion, this should be avoided in order to live a full-filling life because if ones death day is known , its not easy to live a usual life.

Despite the long post i’ve writen above, i found this fun site which predicts our death. It is definitely not true but you can visit it for fun if you want to.But do not take it seriously .Heres the site:

Touching…Much needed story when i was down!

Filed under: frustration — nesh @ 1:43 pm

Yesterday was one of those days where anything i did went wrong.I was really down.I had no drive, motivation what so ever.I seriously felt irritated and frustrated.Even when i was in class,i wasnt able to understand much due to my “unconvincing” situation. It made more frustrated. This may sound a little exsagerated  but i felt like i was giving up on my self. When i woke up this morning , the frustration took a hangover.I was still angry and uneasy.Thats when i sat down and read what i like to call a spirit reviving story. It sure helped me. So i decided to post the story on my blog to help anyone else who is undergoing what i went through yesterday.

The story is called GOLD MEDAL WINNER. Hope you guys gain something from the story.I know i did!

Heres the story:

GOLD-MEDAL WINNER

I spoke at a middle school in the spring of 1995. When the program was over, the principal asked me if I would pay a visit to a special student. An illness had kept the boy home, but he had expressed an interest in meeting me, and the principal knew it would mean a great deal to him. I agreed.

During the nine-mile drive to his home, I found out some things about Matthew. He had muscular dystrophy. When he was born, the doctors told his parents that he would not live to see 5, then they were told he would not make it to 10. He was 13 and from what I was told, a real fighter. He wanted to meet me because I was a gold-medal power lifter, and I knew about overcoming obstacles and going for your dreams.

I spent over an hour talking to Matthew. Never once did   he complain or ask, “Why me?” He spoke about winning and succeeding and going for his dreams. Obviously, he knew what he was talking about. He didn’t mention that his classmates had made fun of him because he was different; he just talked about his hopes for the future, and how one day he wanted to lift weights with me.

When we finished talking, I went into my briefcase and pulled out the first gold medal I won for power lifting and put it around his neck. I told him he was more of a winner and knew more about success and overcoming obstacles than I ever would. He looked at it for a moment, then took it off and handed it back to me. He said, “Rick, you are a champion. You earned that medal. Someday, when I get to the Olympics and win my gold medal, I will show it to you.”

Last summer I received a letter from Matthew’s parents telling me that Matthew had passed away. They wanted me to have a letter he had written to me a few days before.

Dear Rick,

My mom said I should send you a thank-you letter for the neat picture you sent me. I also wanted to let you know that the doctors tell me I don’t have long to live anymore. It is getting very hard for me to breathe and I get tired very easy, but I still smile as much as I can. I know that I will never be as strong as you and I know we will never get to lift weights together.

I told you someday I was going to go to the Olympics and win a gold medal. I know now I will never get to do that. But I know I am a champion, and God knows that too. He knows I am not a quitter, and when I get to heaven, God will give me my gold medal, and when you get there, I will show it to you. Thanks for loving me.

Your Friend, Matthew

Mathew was a fighter….Why cant we be fighters?

Let us fight until the end!

God Bless!

Masterpiece?

I’ve always wondered what do they see in the so call masterpieces. They look pretty ugly to me.

ph2006083100953.jpg

They dont impress  at all.In fact i was very impressed when i saw pre school childrens drawing and coloring but these masterpieces just fail to impress me. They are worth millions of dollars . Some paintings cause the same as two Ferraris would. Call me blind but i just dont see anything special. They say its worth what it is because of its “sentimental value”.Well i obviously dont get that value.Look at that painting i’ve displayed and try to find anything special about it.I cant!!

lets see if u can…

and just for your info, the painting costs millions.A man screaming, even i can draw that . And i bet you i can definitely paint neater than that.

Take a look at this painting. Its worth almost the same as the first one is.It looks worse  than a painting i did a few years back.Whats so special about the painting??

If anyone could actually explain to me what exactly makes this paintings so special,i would appreciate it alot.

If u ask me,i would say these people are trying to create a gimic to make all of us think that there is a hidden value behind these paintings that only experts can see.

piece of crap!

Accord Vs Camry

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Accord to the dealership as the Toyota Camry. In terms of gas mileage, the Toyota Camry bests the Honda Accord. Regarding MSRP, the Toyota Camry costs significantly less than the Honda Accord.

Utility
The Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord can accommodate the same number of passengers.

hondaaccordvtispecialedition.jpg

Convenience
The Honda Accord’s fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Camry.

Comfort
Taller drivers will markedly enjoy the extra head room in the Accord’s front cabin compared to the Toyota. The Toyota Camry is not particularly more spacious for your passengers than the Honda Accord.

Dimensions
The Honda is a tad more ponderous than the Toyota Camry. The Honda Accord’s tank is roughly the same size as the Camry’s, though the Camry’s is a tad more capacious. The Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
The Toyota Camry is likely to feel somewhat slow because of its high horsepower-to-weight ratio compared to the Honda Accord. With its very low horsepower-to-weight ratio, the Honda Accord will knock you back into your seat when you accelerate.

Handling
The Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord have about comparable tires. With their similar turning radiuses, the Honda Accord and the Toyota likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

toyota-camry-nose-450.jpg
Drivetrain
The Honda Accord has a bigger engine than the Toyota Camry. Note that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. Torque equals pickup, and the Honda Accord will have picked up and gone by the time the Camry finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Honda Accord is substantially more powerful than the Toyota Camry.

Overview
The Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry have the same basic warranty.

 The verdict
The Honda Accord seems a little bit more superior to the Toyota Camry. Most people would definitely buy these kind of cars for performance , and the Honda Accord has the slightest of advantages over the Toyota Camry.
